Why Membership?

When the Evangelism Committee asked Pastor Jim why someone would want to become a member of St. Luke, this is what he said:

There is a greater sense of belonging and a sense of ownership as a member of a community. There is a greater desire felt by people to support our Ministry at St. Luke when they belong to the body.

A member can be a part of the voting body.

A member can be a member of Council.

If you are interested in joining St. Luke, we would like you to know that, with Pastor Jim’s Sabbatical beginning in April, we will not be offering our New

Member Orientation classes this spring. Pastor Jim will return from Sabbatical in July, so we will be

offering New Member Orientation in the Fall of 2008.

If you have any Pastoral questions, Pastor Shelley Wee will be filling in during Pastor Jim’s Sabbatical and will be available on Wednesdays and preaching on Sundays. You may also contact Suzie Buell with any questions regarding membership or fellowship and ministry opportunities at church. §
