Making the Old New –

With the generous gifts of memorial funds, individual donations and financial support from Sunday morning breakfasts, we have transformed our “old” kitchen space into a new library and modern kitchenette. Matching the generosity of financial gifts for this project have been the incredible talents and man-hours donated by so many congregation members, lending a unique, personal touch to both projects.

The cozy new library space has become the new home for our “old” library, previously located in a windowless room in our basement. The warmth of carpet, rich-hued wainscoting and bookshelves, track lighting, fireplace and beautiful furniture is a sure welcome to anyone seeking a peaceful place to read, rest and relax.

Walk through the French doors and enter the kitchenette with alder cabinets, recessed wall cabinets and warm, “tuscan” colors. A new pass-through window into the Fellowship Hall is the gathering place for Sunday morning coffee and cookies. New appliances,  include hot water tap, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave, plus necessary place settings for up to 80 people will facilitate fellowship opportunities and meetings held in the Fellowship Hall.

Many thanks to all who have given time, talent and treasure to renewing our space at St. Luke!
